The one and only, Haruhi Suzumiya.
71:10 Television shows!
-Like, my favorites? Does anime count? If I can not include anime, i won’t.
1. House is probably my favorite non-anime show. As bad as it sounds, seeing someone (even if fictional) with the same kind of attitude/physical disability/personality/etc as me was actually really amazing. I never knew about House until well into my Junior year. And I was like “holy crap I just found my soul mate. My spirit animal.” Then I kept watching… And confirmed that Gregory House and I are the same person. Think what you will.
2. Friends is a sitcom I’ve seen literally about 4 times. All 10 seasons. I LOOVE Friends so much. Absolutely great show. The comedy is right up my alley, the drama fuels me, the characters are amazing. I loved watching Friends with my sisters as a kid, although I never really understood it. Now watching it always puts a smile on my face. Courtney Cox and Jennifer Aniston are absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Not to mention Chandler is a god. Bless Matthew Perry.
3. Married With Children is literally the exact opposite of what I enjoy in any type of entertainment. And it’s the funniest god damn thing in the world to me. Al Bundy, all the Bundy’s really, are just so damn funny. The humor is crude at times, cheap, obvious, and even a little insensitive. But that’s what makes it so hilarious! This show didn’t give a damn about the norms of comedy. It was a much simpler time. And i like to think that most of the jokes we set up rather well. But if that show were on today boy it wouldn’t last one. Alotta y'all out there can’t take a joke.
4. That 70’s Show is another show that which I’ve seen every episode about 2-3 times. It’s funny, it’s interesting, at most points it’s vaguely relatable. It’s a simple sitcom that rubs me just the right way. I genuinely developed an attachment to all the characters at the end of it all. It’s just a really funny, really relatable show.
5. House of Cards is daaaaaaamn good. I’m a sucker for bullshit drama and conflict. And this has TONS OF IT. Also a very unique look at a dramatization of the life of a politician looking to become the President of the United States. It’s a no holds barred Netflix original that isn’t for the faint of heart or easily offended. Kevin Spacey is absolutely magnificent in his role as Francis Underwood. Can’t see anyone else playing the part. Also Kate Mara tho.
6. Merlin was fantastic. I always loved the lore behind King Arthur and all that jazz. Seeing it all portrayed as well as it was was amazing. It had the perfect amount of comedy, romance, action, drama and everything a man needs in an interesting lore based fictional television series. It’s certainly worth the watch. Long live the Queen.
7. Sherlock is great. For such a short series, it brings so much to the table. I’ve watched each season so many times with friends and such just to show them how amazing it is. I love talking about Sherlock. The episodes are so well written and are so entertaining for only 9 of them. All the characters are memorable, I can remember each episode in great detail, and I won’t forget them any time soon.
8. Doctor Who is awesome. Just flat out awesome. It’s so creative and has such a rich history and lore behind it all. I’ve seen all the episodes that are available and even listened to some of the older episodes that don’t even have the film anymore. I just love the Doctor. Matt Smith is without a doubt the doctor I can relate myself to the most. I can go on forever about this, I really can.
9. Supernatural is an amazing show as well that I thoroughly enjoyed. It was a nice break from all the much more serious stuff that I had been watching. It was very lighthearted and had a lot of trouble being taken seriously though relative to other television series. Sure some of the sad moments are sad, but when you’ve seen Clannad, Angel Beats, or even Merlin, you start to become much more weary of the “sad” moments that only seek to trick you. Overall it’s still a good show that doesn’t really need to be taken seriously in order for it to be enjoyed.
10. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is here just based on the fact that it is my favorite piece of media ever of all time period. The characters are great, the story is engaging and unique. The seamless switch between serious and more lighthearted scenes was fantastic and Haruhi Suzumiya hit me on the dead on the nail. Her backstory in the anime matched mine dead on. Love Suzumiya so much.
And there are plenty of anime I should put on here, but at least these above are all amazing shows that deserve to be given a chance.
If somebody told me that I had to sit through and watch one of these shows in its entirety again, I’d be the first one on the couch ready to rock and roll because all of these shows I will gladly sit through again.
166. Favourite animation movie.
-THE DISAPPEARANCE OF HARUHI SUZUMIYA IS THE GREATEST ANIMATED MOVIE OF ALL TIME. Well, not really, but it is certainty my favourite. It’s a movie that continues the original Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya anime. It’s absolutely amazing. The animation is clean and sharp, the characters and their development throughout is so well done. The music is memorable and captivating. It’s so good. It’s a masterpiece. Everything about it is so perfect. I’ve watched it just about 10-12 times already and loved every single second of it. It’s just so perfect. I might also need to divulge that The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is my favourite anime, so this is just natural I think.

55.A memory I wish I could forget.
-It’d probably have to be watching School Days. Shit’s the worst anime on my list. It was infuriating, annoying, and just AHH. Thinking about it makes me a tad perturbed. Or actually, to be a little more creative, I’d ask someone to tell me to watch The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (my favorite anime ever), and then forget that I ever watched it, so I could relive watching my favorite anime all time. Or Clannad. Or Your Lie In April. Those would be AMAZING to see again for the first time.

do kids these days even know what endless 8 is
all you young anime fans with your attack on titans and your maid dragons will never know the sheer hell of the time The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya went in to a time loop story arc and made the same episode 8 times and broadcast that same episode 8 weeks in a row
they didn’t just air the same episode eight times
they made the same episode 8 times in slightly different ways
different camera angles, different shots, different outfits
eight times
eight weeks
the same episode
#not a single animation frame or voice line is reused#when haruhi fucked around it didnt fuck around about fucking around#its surprisingly compelling to watch in one sitting#but watching as it aired was one of the worst experiences of my life#it is single handedly responsible for me never watching anime as it airs ever again
And that’s why season 2 was the last season
You’re really going to make me pick a Mamamoo song. Alright well, this is kind of difficult. Out of their entire discography, solo or group, I literally love all of their songs. But if I had a gun to my head and was forced to choose a song, I would have to say it’s Moonbyul’s In My Room. It’s one of the songs that she sings in, being a rapper primarily, and it’s wonderful. Her voice is beautiful, it’s an easy song to listen to, and I could definitely fall asleep listening to it if my daily drivers weren’t headphones. Her voice is so nice to listen to, whether she’s rapping, singing, or whatever. I can’t exactly say I relate to the lyrics, but I still think they say something worth listening to. As for what it says about me, I’m not quite sure. I really do love Moonbyul a whole lot though.
Not being able to provide for my family in the future. That’s always been my main concern and probably always will be until I see my kids well into their 30s and beyond.
